3D Energy Review – We finally got round to trying it!

Introduction

After a long delay, I finally got my hands on some cans of 3D energy. Thanks to a website called Insight Supps. They had some in stock so I quickly ordered some. I only managed to order 1 flavour so like all our reviews we will be updating this review as time goes on and we try more flavours. So it is finally time for the Sets & Reps 3D Energy Review.

The flavour we managed to purchase was Berry Blue Flavour. We committed to the flavour as we bought 12 cans! So I hope we like it. In this article, we are going to go over our thoughts on Price, Flavour and even packaging. I think we should first go over packaging, so let us get into it.

Packaging

To kick off this 3D energy review we are going to talk about the packaging. You can tell a lot about a company on how they package their product.

As far as 3D energy packaging goes! It is simplistic and clean! I really like. The cans have a “Matte” texture to it. It is also a very colourful can (as you would expect, the colour matches the flavour).

Taste:

This is the biggest part of this 3D Energy review, what do they taste like? It tastes amazing! Really lovey taste, really refreshing!

Very nice berry flavour, not over-powering but defiantly able to taste it. Makes a lovely drink in the heat that England has been having currently! I am looking forwards to trying out some of the other flavours they have available.

It also doesn’t leave an after test in your mouth. Which some other brands do. Which is another bonus!

Price:

Now it is time for the last part of this 3D energy Review. The Price. This is where things aren’t so good. Because 3D energy is not selling in the U.K. (they are in a few shops but not to the same degree as they are in the States), most suppliers are importing them and selling them on. The issue with this is that the price will be significantly higher. You are looking at around £2-£3 per can. Compare this to their competitors who sale from £1-£1.50 a can and you start to see the issue.

Our advice is to try to get them on sale or use discount codes. Also, buy a 12/24 pack as they tend to be cheaper. Many online suppliers sell them so have a look around for sales, codes and the best price.

Other

As you might be able to see from looking at the flavours, 3D Energy’s main competitor is monster. The biggest difference between 3D and Monster is 3D Energy is slightly less carbonated. I am a massive fan of this. In fact, this is my favourite part of this drink. The less carbonation does negatively affect me as much as the higher carbonated competitors.

Another issue I have with the drink is that they don’t state the caffeine content. They use a term that a lot of companies use and that is “Proprietary Energy Blend”. Which means they don’t have to state an amount for each individual ingredient, they can just group them together. for example, This 3D Energy drink contains Taurine, Caffeine, Panax, Ginseng Root Extract,  L-Carnitine, L-Carnitine Tartrate, Glucuronolactone, Inositol, Guarana Seed Extract, Vitamin B6 in it’s “Proprietary Energy Blend”. Instead of giving individual amounts they just state “Proprietary Energy Blend – 1.5g”, meaning all the ingredients above add up to 1.5g. So you don’t really know how much you get of each. Starting to see this more and more on energy and pre-workouts now.

Conclusion

The 3D Energy review is fairly simple, saying that, I was pleasantly surprised, as we say above they aren’t as carbonated as Monster, which I like, the flavour is very strong but very nice, but unfortunately the price is a bit steep. So I won’t be buying these regularly. However, I will have to get some other flavours into sample and review.

We highly recommend you try these, if you are a fan of Monster, we think you will like these. If I had to choose I would pick 3D over Monster. However, Monster still have the upper hand as far as price and availability go. As far as I am aware, not many shops, if any, stock 3D energy. Hopefully, the happens soon and these will mean the price will come down.

If you have tried any of the other flavours, get in touch here or over on our Instagram. If we do try other flavours we will update this 3D Energy Review with those flavours.
