Why I Love a Tabata Workouts?

Introduction

There are so many workout styles nowadays, but there is one that I always return to, Tabata workouts! My personal opinion Tabata is the best format for a fat-burning workout. Why? Well, that is what this article is about. We are going to talk about why Tabata workouts are so great as a workout style. 

For people that don’t know, Tabata workouts are a workout with a certain format, so many seconds on, so many seconds off. It tends to be 20:10. 20 seconds doing a certain exercise, 10 seconds rest after, then into your next exercise. High intensity, and short recovery time. That is what makes them so good! 

So without further ado, let us get into why we think they are so great and why everyone should be trying them out!

Time, Time, Time!

The first great thing about them is the time! They take no time at all! You can get a fat-busting, sweat-inducing workout in around 4 minutes! If you feel like that doesn’t do it for you, you can. Just double, or triple up the time. After trying out a Tabata workout, you will find that 4 minutes will achieve the desired effect.

This is why they are so popular as a workout style, You can perform a Tabata workout at the end of a normal resistance workout. Quicker and more effective than a walk on the treadmill. Meaning you can get your cardio in, have a fat-melting session and it will only take you 4 minutes longer than usual!

Tabata Exercises

Another great thing about Tabata workouts, is that isn’t any Tabata exercises, you can choose any exercises that you want and put them into a Tabata style. What you do have to be careful is that you only have 10-second rest, So you won’t have a lot of time for setting up. Bodyweight exercises or Kettlebell exercises work well in a Tabata workout style. You just have to choose 4 exercises and you can do a Tabata workout.

  • Press Up
  • Hill Climbers
  • Burpees
  • Kettlebell Swings
  • Jump Rope
  • Pull Ups

Space Saver

A Tabata workout is an amazing space saver! Due to the nature of the workout style, and the Tabata exercises you are going to chose, a Tabata workout doesn’t require much space at all, Which makes them perfect for a home workout. You can perform a Tabata exercise anywhere. Living Room, Hotel Room, Corner of the gym or even in a local park or woods. If you are going to start to incorporate more complicated exercises into the workout, then you might need more room. 

We recommend grabbing a yoga mat (For reasons stated in this article) and jumping into one of the workouts from our application (which you can download here). You will find out quickly, that 4 minutes is enough for anyone!

Conclusion

So as you can see a Tabata workout is the perfect workout if you are short on time! It is the perfect way to get a high intensity, Fat burning workout in a short amount of time. Like we have said above, they are perfect to throw on the end of a normal resistance workout. They will take up around 4 minutes of your time, but will leave you shattered!
