Top Protein Flavours – We go over our favourite protein flavours that we have tried

Introduction

Protein shakes! They come in various flavours. Forms and styles, but the main question is, what is our top protein flavours? We, if you find yourself asking that question then you are in luck. Today we are going to go over our top protein flavours.

We will go over our 5 top protein flavours, and explain why we think you should try them out! Also, you may notice a pattern with brands as we go through them. So without further ado, let us kick straight into our first one! Cinnamon Danish.

Cinnamon Danish - MyProtein

This is the first flavour I found that I honestly loved. I would look forwards to having one. At the time I was using it in a breakfast shake (Read Here). I am a huge fan of Cinnamon so this was an interesting flavour for me to try.

After trying it I can say that if you like cinnamon, you will defiantly like this flavour. It is a nice change from your standard chocolate or Vanilla. The only downside to this flavour is that over time, it does leave a smell in your shaker. I think this is due to the flavour being rather strong. However, in my opinion, it is worth it!

Chips Ahoy - Ghost Supplements

Ghost Whey - Is this the best tasting protein?

This is one of the latest flavours I have tried and I must say, I was hyped when they announced it. So much so that I bought it on launch day! Was it a letdown? Certainly not! A cookie flavour, chunks of real Chips Ahoy pieces.

It mixes really well, never any lumps, except the ones that are meant to be there. Taste amazing. It honestly tastes like a treat. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come with the Ghost supplement line. This is definitely on the “buy again” list.

As with all the ghost supplements they do come with a fairly high price, but some of the supplements I would say are worth this price. Especially if you manage to find a flavour you like, it is well worth the price. I think it might be limited addition so may or may not still be available.

You can read our full Ghost Supplements reviews here. We cover a lot of their range, with more to come as well!

Milk Chocolate - Ghost Supplements

Ghost Whey Protein - Milk Chocolate

This was the first protein I ever tried from Ghost. Thought I would play it safe and go for a Chocolate flavour! Wow! What a choice this protein had a great taste.

What I found myself doing with this protein is not having it as a shake, but instead mixing it in with my morning porridge. This gave the porridge an amazing milk chocolate taste and made normal porridge even more enjoyable.

As I said above, the Ghost range does come at a price, but fortunately, they are starting to be stock at more and more locations now. So hopefully the competitiveness should kick in soon and we should see the price go down.

Rainbow Candy - MyProtein

This is my new favourite and what I have found myself taking more now. MyProtein released this as a limited edition but I think because it proved to be so popular they released it full time. I thought it was worth a try for many reasons. The main one is that in one scoop there is 20g of protein but with only 83 calories. Which to me is the perfect protein shake!

I bought the rainbow candy flavour and to sum up. It is an amazing flavour. I like the taste, it is very sweet and can leave a weird “sweet feeling” in your mouth after but overall I like it. I am very interested in trying some of the other flavours they have for sell. Of course, we will update our review when we try these.

Chocolate Smooth - MyProtein

This is my goto flavour. I think this is the first flavour protein I ever tried! Since then there has always been a bug in my cupboard. Is it my main protein? No! But it is always around in case I need a scoop of protein.

I use it as a sort of backup protein. I use it as a spare In case I run out of any of my other proteins. It isn’t my favourite protein by a long way but it is consistency and also cheap and easy to have laying around the house.

Being from MyProtein you know that it is going to be a fairly good quality protein and a really good price. If you are looking into buying your first bag of protein, I would recommend giving this one a go. Purely based on the price! It is a cheap way to see if they are for you.

Conclusion

So there you have it, our top protein flavours. Will this list change? Absolutely! I can’t wait to try new flavours in the hope I find the perfect flavour! I have tried many flavours previously which were amazing but sadly they are no longer in production.

Remember all protein serve the same purpose, to help you hit your macro goal. Remember, all you need to look at is the overall calories and the protein amount in each serving. You want to aim for a shake with a low calories count but high protein. I think the MyProtein Clear Whey is going to be the closest thing you are going to be able to get to this.

You also want to find one you like the flavour. No point suffering from a flavour you don’t like. Being “hardcore” gets you there any faster. Tips we have for finding a flavour you like? There isn’t any. Try to get as many samples and try as many flavours as possible, you will soon find one that you like. Some gym has a shake bar where you can buy protein shakes. This is a great way to try out flavours.
