Make Macros Even Easier! – Get down to the very basics!!

Introduction

Tracking calories is the only sure-fire way to lose weight! Been proven by many athletes many times that if you control what goes into your body you can lose or gain weight as needed. The downside to this is that it can be rather overwhelming when first starting, having to track each macro. Fortunately, there is a way to make macros easier.

In this article, we are going to go over a simpler way to count your macros, a way that is easier for beginners or anyone who doesn’t want to go into macros fully. So if you look at macros and wonder how to make macros easier, then read on!

Where do I Start?

When calculating macros normally you take your daily calorie allowance and split it up between Proteins, Fats and Carbs. This tells you how much of each macro you can eat. Now, this may seem daunting to a first time trier. To someone who has never counted macros before this could put them off, However, we can make this a lot easier. Instead of breaking it down into the three macros, we take our total daily calories and count that, and protein (Which would go towards the daily calorie goal).

This way you don’t have to worry about individual macros. You can just focus on hitting that calorie goal and protein goal. Making it all very simple! Only two things to count. You will still have to weigh out your foods, but you don’t have to worry about how many carbs or fats are in each. You just got to stay below your daily calorie count. Sound Simple? That is because it is. As we said, we are going to tell you how to Make Macros Easier.

Why should I start with this?

This is perfect for beginners as it gets familiar with counting calories, finding out low calorie snacks etc, but without all the stress of having to worry about going over your fats or carbs. If you have never counted your calories or done IIFYM (If it fits your macros) then this is the perfect way to get started, and will also be perfectly fine for 85% of people that just want to lean up and lose a bit of weight.

Only having to track 2 things makes life so much easier. It makes eating out easier, social occasions and so much more. For example, you might be looking at a pizza and it has 700 calories. You might have 750 left for the day. So you can fit the pizza in your calories, however, you might not have enough fat left to fit it in. Well, this way you don’t have to worry about that. If you have enough calories and hit your protein goal each day, then it is perfect.

It also makes moving calories around so much easier. If you are eating 2200 calories a day and you want to save 200 calories for Saturday night, well, that is so simple to work out! Don’t have to worry about if you are going to take it from carbs or fats. Make a flexible diet even more flexible.

Any negatives?

There aren’t any negatives, I guess the only negative I can think off is that it will become a bit hard to plan your pre-workout and post-workout meals if you don’t know your carb intake. Again, we are only counting calories but you could end using a lot of calories on carbs for pre and post-work meals. So just go careful not to use up all your calories on a single meal.

This option also might not be the best if you are planning to go and step on stage. Due to you not being able to manipulate your carb and fat intake on various days. Also, allowing yourself to “fill out” before hitting the stage. You have to take this negative with a pinch of salt as I know there are lots of people who have dieted down to stage-ready conditions only using Calories and Macros (Greg Doucette is a prime example).

Conclusion

So there you go! A simple article about how to make Make Macros Easier and make weight loss simple! Just track your protein and your calories. As we have said it is a great way to get started and give yourself some accountability. That is what this whole system is designed to do. Get you familiar to being accountable for what you eat and consume. Once you have it mastered, you will be able to stop counting and you will know what you can eat day today. Maybe we will do another article on how to come off IIFYM (If It Fit Your Macros), another step to Make Macros Easier, not count them, but we will save that for another time!
